Jesus to North Macedonia!

Last week, we had the joy of hosting several teams from Sweden, Poland, and the Czech Republic here in Skopje, North Macedonia—to evangelize together and reach the youth of the city with the gospel. It was an absolutely amazing week! Many people heard the message of salvation, and young believers were encouraged to live boldly for Jesus.

Ukraine

The feeling when artillery fire thunders nearby is, of course, special—even though you start to get somewhat used to it after all the visits to the country. Together with my travel companions, I am about 15 kilometers from the front line.

“Christians to Israel and Israel to Christians”

At the beginning of summer, we had the privilege as a congregation to travel to the country of Israel. This time, the group was a bit smaller and consisted of people of very different ages. There were elderly women who had difficulty walking from the bus to the places we visited, a Catholic Iraqi woman who had heard about the trip through our programs on YouTube, and several young couples visiting Israel for the first time.

400 miles by minibus – from Odessa to the European Conference

The conference week is underway, and from the church hall there is a faint sound of drums indicating that the rehearsal for the morning service is underway.

Making disciples in India!

I think the most amazing thing about missionary work is seeing local people saved and transformed. Over the course of almost 15 years, I have witnessed this in India over and over again.

New Missions Youth Movement

God has worked in the most amazing ways throughout our forty years of ministry. Time and again He has opened doors that we hardly thought possible and through prophetic speeches and visions shown us the way forward, and time and again we have responded in faith.

Next country – India

“The next country is India” was proclaimed in a prophetic address in 1996. A new wave of mission was at hand for us as a church. We had done a lot of work in the former Soviet Union, but now the Lord was directing us to Asia as well.

“Leave the old harvest fields and go to the mountain people. They will receive the gospel and pass it on”

In 1996, Pastor Ulf Ekman saw a vision for a change in the church's mission work.

Take the Jews out of the Soviet Union

For a few intense but wonderfully glorious years, the church experienced and operated in prophetic dimensions where God Himself and the words of the Old Testament prophets guided our steps!

The train through Russia

It was a Wednesday in the spring of 1989. Ulf and Birgitta Ekman were sitting together with Carl-Gustav Severin in a conference room at Livets Ord in Uppsala. Suddenly Pastor Ulf became completely still. A strong presence of the Holy Spirit filled the room. “I see a train,” he explained to the others.

Saudi Arabia, a dream come true!

What a feeling it was to land in Saudi Arabia! I had been waiting for this moment for 28 years. Together with Åke Carlson, I went to Jeddah to meet and serve our friends there. Landing here in Saudi Arabia reminded me of what God said to me when I was a young boy.

Words that can transform lives

Mission is not always a bed of roses, was my first thought when I saw the schedule for our mission trip to Croatia. “Are we going to evangelize morning and afternoon almost every day for five weeks?” Fear ran through me like a river.

India in transition

Since 2000, India has seen tremendous economic growth, yet it remains one of the poorest countries in the world in terms of GDP per capita and is characterized by high economic inequality.

City of winds in the land of fire

I recently visited Baku in Azerbaijan. It is always a great pleasure to visit this special place. The contrasts with the Baku we arrived in 1994 could hardly be greater.

A new generation of churches emerges in India

One of the wonderful churches that God has raised up in India in recent years is the Family of Lord Jesus Church (FOLJ). This is a vibrant, dynamic and rapidly growing church in New Delhi, and we have had the opportunity to learn from them and build a good and very fruitful friendship with the church.

A journey between two different worlds

In mid-February I had the opportunity to travel to Ukraine together with a group from Livets Ord, Uppsala. We met at the airport in Warsaw, Poland and drove from there to Lublin to pick up the car we would have to drive across the border to Ukraine.

Transforming lives in Albania!

How can you feel at home at once - perhaps there are similarities with India where I lived for a couple of years and admittedly I have traveled a lot in southern Europe but still quite strange that you can immediately feel so at home. It is enriching to belong to the same faith family.

We continue to support the Afghan people

The Taliban have been in power for a year and a half now, and the country has descended into total chaos. In the midst of this, poverty has increased and many people are starving right now. The situation is very difficult for Christians too, as their security network has collapsed and it is now dangerous for them to share their faith with anyone.

A network of hope in a war-torn country

In early March, we traveled as a four-man team to the war-torn Kharkiv and Donetsk regions of eastern Ukraine. After an early morning flight to Warsaw, two full days in a car awaited us to get to our base in Poltava.
