TV-Bible School in North Africa

In recent weeks, a Word of Life Bible School has been launched in Cairo for Sudanese refugees. The initiative is carried out by a Russian organization that operates a school for Sudanese refugee children. As they sought ways to provide solid and high-quality Bible teaching for parents and friends, they came into contact with Word of Life Moscow, through which they learned about our TV Bible School. This program is now being implemented in cooperation.

The Bible School was recorded in Uppsala several years ago in both Arabic and Farsi and has been broadcast via satellite television across Iran and the entire Farsi-speaking region. Today, the Arabic version is streamed throughout North Africa.

The program is also distributed on hard drives, making it possible to establish local Bible schools. Word of Life’s Bible School is highly sought after, and this approach enables the training to reach areas that would otherwise have limited or no access to biblical education. It is also well suited for underground Bible schools in regions where open Christian ministry is restricted.

At present, 80 Sudanese students are participating in Word of Life’s Bible School in Arabic, where the teaching has been received with great joy and appreciation. In the near future, three additional schools will be launched, reaching another 140 students, most of whom are Sudanese refugees.

We rejoice to see the vision of equipping God’s people with His Word of faith reaching new nations and people groups, and we look forward to seeing these students raised up and sent out to serve the Lord in victory.

The Balkans Need Our Prayers!

We were a small team of three people who had come to join our missionaries in North Macedonia for a prayer journey. The call from Acts 16:9, “Come over to Macedonia and help us,” is just as relevant today as it was in Paul’s time. And as we landed in Skopje, I carried in my heart thoughts of this very trip that had been growing there for several months.

Back in Ukraine

At last, I am back in Ukraine for an extended journey across the country. The intensity of the war has increased rather than diminished since my last visit, and so has the suffering of the civilian population.
