Testimony: A life transformed by the power of God

My name is Rinku Mondal and I come from a Hindu background. I grew up worshipping idols, not knowing the true and living God. But everything changed when I came to know Jesus Christ and accepted him as my personal Saviour. My life took a new direction, and I began to grow in faith through my local church. But over time, I realised that just going to church on Sundays was not enough. I longed for something deeper – a stronger foundation in God’s Word and a more intimate walk with Him.

That desire led me to enrol in Bible College. But making that decision was not easy. The biggest challenge I faced was my son. He had been addicted to drugs and other harmful substances for years. He was incredibly stubborn and refused help from anyone. No one could convince him to go to rehab or even admit that he needed help. Under the influence, he tormented our family and brought pain and fear into our home. His life was spiralling out of control, and I felt helpless.

Despite the chaos, I knew God was calling me to go deeper – and I refused to let fear hold me back. I chose to obey and attend Bible school, even when my heart was breaking for my son.

But God intervened.
In the very first week of Bible school, something miraculous happened. My son had a sudden change in his mind. All on his own, he made the decision to enter a rehabilitation centre. It was nothing short of divine intervention. As I studied God’s word, my faith was strengthened daily. And through all this, I saw God working behind the scenes.

As we approached graduation, my son had come home completely free of his addiction. I know it wasn’t just the rehabilitation programme that changed him – it was the power of God. I believe that through my obedience and decision to follow Him in Bible school, God released His transforming power into my family.

Bible school didn’t just teach me – it changed me. And through it, God brought healing and restoration to my home. His power is real, and He is faithful. All glory to Jesus!

The Balkans Need Our Prayers!

We landed at Alexander the Great Airport in Skopje at 1:00 a.m., half an hour later than scheduled. The flight had gone well, but the landing was rather hard, waking all of us up with a jolt. We were a small team of three people who had come to join our missionaries in North Macedonia for a prayer journey. The call from Acts 16:9, “Come over to Macedonia and help us,” is just as relevant today as it was in Paul’s time. And as we landed in Skopje, I carried in my heart thoughts of this very trip that had been growing there for several months.

Back in Ukraine

At last, I am back in Ukraine for an extended journey across the country. The intensity of the war has increased rather than diminished since my last visit, and so has the suffering of the civilian population.
