Team trip to Borås

What a blessing to be able to go on mission in your own country and see that God is also working in Sweden. We were a team from the Word of Life Bible Centre who went on mission in Borås last autumn and served in the church Borås Kristna Center.

As it was a short team trip of only 4 days, it was a tight schedule – but we had so much fun serving God together with each other and the church we visited.

We had three different meetings, evangelism in the centre of Borås, and a hang-out for the high school students at the Christian school. Several young students who had never been to the youth nights at church before came and were touched by God.

The first night it was a young boy who received Jesus and later in the weekend he was baptised in the Holy Spirit and given the gift of tongues. His sister goes to church and has been trying to get him to come to church for a long time. God is good!

As a team, we could feel how God was leading us in the same direction, and that we were walking together with Him. We really became a unit during this trip. On Friday night we experienced that God wanted to lead people to a restored sonship in Him. God touched many and it was great to see how He cares about how everyone feels on the inside.

We also got to evangelise together with the church, and had many good conversations. We did some worship there in town, and many people we met were open when we shared the gospel.

We are so thankful for this journey! All that God has done and how he has blessed and given us everything we needed.
God has a plan for Sweden and this is just the beginning.

Amen!

LOBC-Team: Healing and restoration in Bolivia

It was Wednesday morning when we arrived, exhausted after a dramatic 36-hour journey and running on barely two hours of sleep. A kind man from a local church picked us up and welcomed us into his home. As we sat together making small talk, he began to sing a Swedish worship song, sharing from his time as a missionary there. In that moment, the weight of the journey caught up with us, and we began to cry. Questions filled our minds: what was going to happen on this trip, could God really use us like this, and did we even have the strength to be there? He gently encouraged us to rest, and after a short nap we were picked up by the pastor and reunited with the rest of the team. After breakfast and several hours of sleep, we felt more alive—still tired, but ready. We were reminded that in our weakness, God is our strength.

It is time for Laos!

So wonderful to be back in Laos. I was here the first time 25 years ago, and ever since that visit, something in my heart has remained connected to this beautiful nation. I have always wanted to come back—and now, finally, I am here again. Walking these streets, meeting the people, and sensing God’s presence so strongly reminds me that His timing is always perfect.
