School of Missions in India!

This year marks something entirely new for us—for the first time, we have carried out a School of Missions in India. A total of 66 students have been equipped for mission, both through teaching and through practical outreach in the field. As a highlight at the end of the year, we were able to send out ten teams to serve in villages and churches across the country.

For many of the students, this was their very first step into personally experiencing how God can use them in His work. Pratima Basu’s testimony is a powerful example of this—how God calls, equips, and makes a way even when the circumstances seem limiting.

My name is Pratima Basu, and I am deeply grateful to God for the opportunity to have been part of Bible School a few years ago, and now the School of Missions. Through this journey, I have come to understand the true importance of missions and God’s heart for reaching people.

Before joining the School of Missions, my understanding of missions was quite limited. I
believed it was something meant for others—those who were highly experienced, well-educated, and financially well-equipped. I thought it required a certain level of qualification that I did not possess. However, this mindset was completely transformed during my time in the program. I learned that God can use anyone for His work—ordinary people willing to step out in faith for His glory.

God spoke to me personally and reassured me that even as a mother of a 30-year-old son with Autism Spectrum Disorder, who is fully dependent on me, I could still be a vessel for His mission. When the time came to prepare for the mission trip, I initially tried to arrange care for my son with my husband, but it was not possible. This presented a significant challenge—I would need to bring my son along and also manage the financial responsibilities for both of us.

Yet, God performed miracles. I was able to raise the necessary funds, and we both went on the mission trip together. Throughout the journey, my son was not a hindrance; instead, God’s grace sustained us. I was able to serve freely and wholeheartedly in the work of the Kingdom.

During the trip, God used me to minister in the church we visited. We were able to reach out to children and also engage in social service with the local police in the area of Churchura. It was a powerful experience to witness how God moves when we step out in obedience. This journey has strengthened my faith and shown me that when God calls, He also provides. I am thankful for the School of Missions for shaping my perspective and giving me the courage to say “yes” to His calling.

Testimony: A Faith That Cannot Be Silenced

When we heard we have the opportunity to go to Vietnam, our team was thrilled. It’s a
country of such rich culture, amazing food, and humble people. But we also knew the Church of Vietnam is under great persecution. Over the past year the scrutiny of government observation of Christians has increased in some areas of Vietnam. God’s people are facing rejection from their communities, pastors are being thrown into prison and their religious materials are being confiscated.
