Every year, we send out mission teams from our Bible school in Uppsala to serve, learn, and partner with local churches around the world. These teams are not just traveling—they are stepping into God’s global mission, carrying the Gospel with humility, faith, and a willingness to learn.

This year, our second-year students were sent to Bolivia, Brazil, India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Each location represents a unique culture, spiritual landscape, and set of challenges, but also incredible opportunities to serve, listen, and build lasting relationships.

What made this year especially meaningful was a new step we took with our Asian mission teams. Before heading out to their respective countries, all the Asia-bound teams gathered together in Bangkok, Thailand, for several days of focused training and preparation. This time was intentionally set apart to help the teams slow down, align their hearts, and prepare spiritually and practically for what lay ahead.

During these days in Bangkok, we taught on missions strategy, cultural sensitivity, and the importance of strong team dynamics. We talked honestly about expectations, challenges, and the need to approach each culture with respect and a servant’s heart. Just as important, we spent time building unity within the teams—learning to walk together, communicate well, and support one another in both joyful and demanding moments.

The atmosphere was marked by deep fellowship, prayer, worship, and a shared sense of calling. It was powerful to see students from different backgrounds standing together with one purpose: to serve God and love people well.

As the teams were sent out from Bangkok, there was a clear sense that they were not only better prepared, but also more united. We believe this foundation will bear lasting fruit in every nation they serve.
