It is time for Laos!

So wonderful to be back in Laos. I was here the first time 25 years ago, and ever since that visit, something in my heart has remained connected to this beautiful nation. I have always wanted to come back—and now, finally, I am here again. Walking these streets, meeting the people, and sensing God’s presence so strongly reminds me that His timing is always perfect.

The harvest is ready. That truth has never felt more real to me than it does now. Everywhere we go, there is a spiritual hunger—people longing for hope, truth, and the Word of God. It is both humbling and deeply moving to witness.

One of the most powerful moments of this trip was a Faith Seminar we held for 60 pastors from across Laos. These faithful leaders traveled from different parts of the country to gather in the capital. Many of them serve in challenging and often hidden conditions, yet their faith is strong and unwavering. Being in the same room with them was an incredible privilege.

This gathering marks an important step forward for Word of Life. For the first time, we were able to introduce our movement to these leaders, share our vision, and begin planning future steps together. We are especially praying that this connection will lead to the establishment of a Bible school here in Laos—something that is clearly needed and deeply desired.

We were also blessed by the participation of pastors from Vietnam, who traveled in to serve as the main speakers. Their teaching was powerful, practical, and full of the Spirit. In addition, a team from Vietnam helped organize and host the event.

Throughout the conference, we made many new and meaningful connections. One pastor shared with emotion, “This was like a refreshing wind from heaven!” Another said at the conclusion, “We really need a Bible school here. You are so welcome!”

These words confirm what we already feel in our hearts—that God is opening a door in Laos. We leave encouraged and committed to continue walking through that door, step by step, as He leads.

LOBC-Team: Healing and restoration in Bolivia

It was Wednesday morning when we arrived, exhausted after a dramatic 36-hour journey and running on barely two hours of sleep. A kind man from a local church picked us up and welcomed us into his home. As we sat together making small talk, he began to sing a Swedish worship song, sharing from his time as a missionary there. In that moment, the weight of the journey caught up with us, and we began to cry. Questions filled our minds: what was going to happen on this trip, could God really use us like this, and did we even have the strength to be there? He gently encouraged us to rest, and after a short nap we were picked up by the pastor and reunited with the rest of the team. After breakfast and several hours of sleep, we felt more alive—still tired, but ready. We were reminded that in our weakness, God is our strength.
