Confession of Faith in Romania

“Thank you, Ville, this is exactly what our church needs!” said a local pastor to me. I had just finished my meeting in the city of Alba Iulia in Romania when the pastor approached me. I preached a simple message about faith, but it felt so powerful. The people received it well, and when I invited them forward for prayer, half of the church came up!

There is such a hunger for teaching about faith in Romania. And what a privilege we have to be able to travel and serve there. Many people were touched by God, and I heard how some of them were healed during the meeting. We are now sending three missionaries from Sweden to this church to work with youth and children’s ministries.

It will be a great help for the church, and I believe we will hear more about Romania in the future and about what God is doing there.

I am also so happy to see our young missionaries burning with passion for Jesus. And this is something we want to see more of—more young missionaries for the world!

LOBC-Team: Healing and restoration in Bolivia

It was Wednesday morning when we arrived, exhausted after a dramatic 36-hour journey and running on barely two hours of sleep. A kind man from a local church picked us up and welcomed us into his home. As we sat together making small talk, he began to sing a Swedish worship song, sharing from his time as a missionary there. In that moment, the weight of the journey caught up with us, and we began to cry. Questions filled our minds: what was going to happen on this trip, could God really use us like this, and did we even have the strength to be there? He gently encouraged us to rest, and after a short nap we were picked up by the pastor and reunited with the rest of the team. After breakfast and several hours of sleep, we felt more alive—still tired, but ready. We were reminded that in our weakness, God is our strength.

It is time for Laos!

So wonderful to be back in Laos. I was here the first time 25 years ago, and ever since that visit, something in my heart has remained connected to this beautiful nation. I have always wanted to come back—and now, finally, I am here again. Walking these streets, meeting the people, and sensing God’s presence so strongly reminds me that His timing is always perfect.
