These faithful leaders traveled from different parts of the country to gather in the capital. Many of them serve in challenging and often hidden conditions, yet their faith is strong and unwavering. Being in the same room with them was an incredible privilege.

This gathering marks an important step forward for Word of Life. For the first time, we were able to introduce our movement to these leaders, share our vision, and begin planning future steps together. We are especially praying that this connection will lead to the establishment of a Bible school here in Laos—something that is clearly needed and deeply desired.

We were also blessed by the participation of pastors from Vietnam, who traveled in to serve as the main speakers. Their teaching was powerful, practical, and full of the Spirit. In addition, a team from Vietnam helped organize and host the event.

Throughout the conference, we made many new and meaningful connections. One pastor shared with emotion, “This was like a refreshing wind from heaven!” Another said at the conclusion, “We really need a Bible school here. You are so welcome!”

These words confirm what we already feel in our hearts—that God is opening a door in Laos. We leave encouraged and committed to continue walking through that door, step by step, as He leads.

Ville Männistö

Missions Coordinator Asia

So wonderful to be back in Laos.
