In the embrace of November\u2019s darkness, a handful of fellow students from LOBC and I were sent to Romania to proclaim the gospel of light along the cobblestone streets of Bra\u0219ov (Acts 26:18).<\/p>\n\n

We were sent on a short but intense missionary journey, entrusted with the call to lay the very first spiritual foundation stones in the soil here. We believe that the Word of Life and revival will take hold in Bra\u0219ov, as a new church is raised up in Jesus’ name (Acts 2:17). <\/p>\n\n

Alex Bala shepherded us closely throughout our stay. The focus and aim of the mission were anchored in a Revival Night, serving as the church’s first gathering. This was my very first experience of mission work, and it was challenging to arrive in a place where nothing had yet been established. Yet it is an honor to take part in planting a seed that, through consistency and time, will grow big and strong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like the first believers in the book of Acts (Acts 2:42\u201346), Alex\u2019s small home became a daily sanctuary: a place of prayer and worship, devotion, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and Spirit-filled conversations. This showed me that mission is not only about serving, but also about being present together in God\u2019s presence through prayer and thanksgiving, welcoming and proclaiming the Holy Spirit over the city. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As farmers in God\u2019s field, we can testify to a warm reception of the gospel of peace on the streets of Bra\u0219ov. In a land where Orthodox religion runs deep, conversations about Jesus came naturally. Many expressed frustration with institutional religion and were struck by the good news of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (Acts 2:37). We had the privilege of praying for people, preaching the gospel, and inviting residents of Bra\u0219ov to the Revival Night, which became a powerful gathering where the Holy Spirit filled the space among us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As on the streets of Sweden, there is a noticeable openness and hunger in the eyes of Generation Z (Luke 10:2). As disciples of Jesus, the Lord of light, we must do as he has called us: to fish people out of darkness. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
